For my latest graphic design project, I decided to explore the beauty of nature and architecture as subjects for an ongoing series. I was inspired by the shapes, patterns, and colors found in both natural and man-made structures, and wanted to showcase the harmonious relationship between the two.
This ongoing series has been a challenging yet rewarding project that has allowed me to flex my creative muscles and explore new design techniques ideations and combinations.
Space Needle
Honoring a historic landmark in Seattle, the Space Needle’s design is as iconic as it is unique. Using key lines and features this piece takes a modern approach using lines and basic fills. Using the “Emerald City” green background as way to honor the lush green environment of the Northwest.
Transamerica Pyramid
Hailed as the tallest building in San Francisco until it was dethroned by the Salesforce Tower in 2017, this building has appeared in numerous movies and photographs since its 1972 opening. Once thought of as a tarnish to the city is now considered forward-thinking in modern architecture.
Lake Tahoe
A true marvel of the world as the largest alpine lake in North America that is split between California and Nevada and is home to the 1960 Olympic Winter Games and on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe. It is 1,645 feet it is the 16th deepest lake in the world and holds 39 trillion gallons of water.
